Presenting:
Los Lobos
Pistolera
Los Lobos is simply one of the greatest bands in the world, performing and recording together for well over thirty years. Los Lobos has successfully combined elements of rock, R&B, blues, country, folk and traditional Mexican and Spanish music to generate a highly original and eclectic variety of music. The band is from East Los Angeles, yet they are world ambassadors when it comes to either composing their own music or covering classic norteƱo songs.
Pistolera is an NYC-based quartet that is redefining Latin alternative music with their accordion melodies, pop-rock sensibilities, and an unbeatable rhythm section. Their debut album, Siempre Hay Salida, was recorded and released by producer Charlie Dos Santos and has guest appearances by members of Si*Se, Slavic Soul Party, and Antibalas. In addition to their extensive southwest tour of the US, the group has been featured on NPR's "Open Mic" and "Soundcheck" on WYNC.
